Wild Cherry Pepsi

I haven't actually blogged in a while, so I figure I better do that or change the name of this thing to afi100watching.blogger. Since I'm too lazy for the latter, the former it is.

Some stuff has actually happened, which even I am shocked about. I re-started my yearly seasonal job of answering calls at 1800taxform, which is good in that I need monies, but still as frustrating as ever in the actual doing. Not just the people who haven't a clue what they're calling for, but all the ridiculous things we're required to do and say on each call that the callers couldn't give a damn less about, if they even understand them. Anyone who has worked CS work knows how annoying the general public is, add to that people trying to figure out tax shit and it's like being in hell with an uncomfortable headset on.

This does not take in to account my voice, which is apparently so feminine that even my masculine first name isn't even a tip off to my sex. That, by the way, is the most annoying part of the whole thing, being on the phone for 6 hours, destroying my throat, and being called ma'am 80-90% of the time.

Still, money is nice, especially right before ChristmasStuff Day* so I can get the nephew a few cool things. Right now he's got a lite bright and Transformers papers, some board games (Super Heroes Chutes and Ladders, anyone?) and some Beatles Yellow Submarine stuff because he loves that song and the movie is animated. Assuming the car, which is not mine, is in working order come Thursday I'm going to hit Wal*Mart and pick him up thie $10 (nu)Optimus Prime they're advertising and look for a pair of Hulk Hands. I bought the women in my lifehouse bamboo knitting needles and crochet hooks. Probably stop at Hobby Lobby and look for cases or yarn or...something to put with it. This is despite them repeatedly chanting 'don't buy me anything'. Unfortunately the real woman in my life I have not been able to buy anything yet, and probably won't until post-Stuff Day, though I do know exactly what she's getting. Lucky me she's understanding on top of beautiful and amazing. She's already sent me gifts, and instructed me not to open until them until the day, which I can admit makes me feel a little worse about not being able to post hers to her. If I weren't trying to save money (more on that later) I'd just charge them and be done with it. Stupid responsibility. I never wanted to be a grown up, damn it!

Ah well, more later. More movies soon. I think I'm going to try to watch King Kong with the kid, something tells me he'll love it.

*I saw someone call Christmas minus the belief in Christ that somewhere and have decided I like it. Merry Stuff Day and a Happy New Year!
