ca-ching

Yesterday...or the day before, maybe–My life is one big run together mess of late–I sat and, mid conversation with the wonderful one, did something that might be mistaken for math if I didn't know me so well. What about? About exactly how much I need to sock away before I can rejoin the aforementioned Awesome Aussie for good. Follow along:

Visa: $2000
+ Passport: 100
+ Plane tickets: 2500*
a fuck of a lot

This does not count the credit cards I need to zero-out before leaving nor actually having money to live on. By my calculations, to leave by March I need to bank $500 a month. Minimum. Eugh.

The other day, via Twitta, I came across weneedayard.com and was freaking offended. Firstly; I thought the cyberbegging craze was long dead, secondly; it's so damn entitled to actually think you deserve to solicit donations because you couldn't plan correctly and remember it goes home->animals, not animals->home. I sincerely hope they get a grand total of $0.00, but then I remember this is America and couching it in the fact that it's for animals is very likely to cause donations to come in.

And, no, of course I'm not being king hypocrite and soliciting donations from friends. Save your money so you can buy us something expensive from our registry! I'm looking at you, super awesome vibrating chair that I will grow to love more than my bride. Unless she's willing to sit in it with me and shake together. But then we may never get to work. Er...I didn't write that. And you didn't read it.

Anyway, is it so wrong to want to jump countries and marry the most awesome woman in the world? Why can't Comrade Obama super-secret-Socialist-Agenda have a "true love" fund I could apply to and get a good $6k of taxpayer money? That's some bullshit.

In other stream of consciousness news; we're in the middle of setting up the wedding blog(s). Registered the domain name(s) and now just have to figure out what to put on them. Watch this space (or that one) for updates on that.

This Giants/Zona game suuuuuuuucks.

*If I buy the tickets now, prices go up the closer to the flight date, of course.
