Not enough

I still live. I exist. I'm even conscious sometimes. I've been a tad distracted these last two weeks.

I got a woman, my Awesome Aussie, and I got her into my life for a few days. Nearly two entire weeks of me and she left little room for...anything else. Two weeks, felt like two years, felt like two minutes. And now she's there and I'm here and that's about the opposite of what I want.

During her visit (vacation, not holiday!) we did do a thing. A thing I was expecting but not expecting. I asked her if she would be mine forever, she said yes. I asked her again and again, and she said yes and yes, and eventually we picked her out a ring and made it official. Carolyn and myself have decided that, yes, we will be getting married. When? How? Where will we live? I. Don't. Know. But it's going to happen because it has to happen. It's ~5 years in the making at this point.

So that's been my two weeks. No, I won't lay out a blow by blow of everything we did (Aquarium, Brookfield Zoo, Deep Dish pizza), suffice it to say we had an amazing, amazing time.
