Peter...Rabbit

I'm old. At 27, somehow, I have become incredibly old and out of touch with what I guess would be my generation. I have no idea what is "cool" these days. I don't know dick about a T-Pain, I think Kanya West and Lil Wayne are crap, and I haven't listened to a radio station in ages. I don't find Seth Rogan, Will Ferell, or 98% of The Lonely Island funny. Commercials for the big summer big catch-phrase fest movies leave me cold and depressed. I can't even care about my past passion of wrestling (or at least WWEs wrestling) because it's now being written for people I hate.

This is the kind of thing that's supposed to happen when I'm 40, at which point I buy a sports car and try to cheat on my wife, all the while cranking up the new cool thing and acting like I "get it".

In fact, not only do I not get today's...everything...I'm disturbed by how my generation is being shined and polished and resold to the next. You can enter a Toys R Us right now and it's full of updated versions of everything that existed when I was a kid. It's sad.

Clearly this is why we get along so well. I once said to a little girl in a toy shop "When I was a little girl, our My Little Ponies were better than this".

And they WERE dammit.
